About us
- I have enjoyed taking photos since I pressed the shutter button for the first time, allowing a landscape image to be recorded on photograph film on a basic SLR that was a present from my mother. In those days we had to wait until we finished the whole reel and then pay for that film to be developed in the local store. Some real enthusiasts would have a dark room and a licence for special developing chemicals so that they could hang up the photos on a line to dry before being able to view them in their glory. For the majority, it could take a week to get them back from the store but the excitement of opening the envelope when you got home added to the whole experience.
- Today everyone owns a camera and the quality can be amazing by just snapping on a mobile phone. There is however no doubt that you cannot get the flexibility that you can with a good Digital SLR. We let the photos speak for themselves.
- Photos on this site are in 'raw image' format. We like to leave it how we saw it through the lens. There are several galleries to choose from, hopefully something for everyone.
- The author's Blog takes the reader through the journey of owning a first digital camera, aiming to help any enthusiastic beginner.
- Just remember, photography is not for everyone, it takes patience and a natural 'eye'. The person who sees your photos may not see them in the way you do but they will all tell a story. Your own story. Do it your way and how you want. Don't listen to all the critics who may say there is a lack of light, or the subject is too small. If you like the photo you know. Enjoy it. Publish it for others to enjoy too.

Photography as Communication
We are all surrounded by natural beauty, interesting people and fascinating objects. We can use our cameras to document the world and then publish images with a focus on the magic that we find in our daily lives. We all have it in us to go out and take a photo. Our pictures can tell our stories.
